Browser permissions
The current manifest requests storage and alarms. Its host access and checkout script are restricted to localhost demo origins. It does not request unrestricted access to every website. Any public storefront origins must be reviewed and disclosed before release.
Alarms
Supports time-bound cleanup and refresh tasks without monitoring browsing continuously.
Checkout control
Code application requires an explicit shopper click. An existing coupon or attribution can stop SaveKindly.
Origin boundaries
The preview is scoped to demo checkout origins. Public access will be limited to reviewed storefronts.
Data boundaries
Anonymous installation data
An extension installation can exist without an account. Anonymous identifiers must not be presented as a person’s identity.
Account data
If a shopper creates an account, identified profile and charity-choice data are handled separately from public catalogue content.
Export and deletion
Account holders can request access, correction, export, or deletion. Financial records may require lawful retention and are explained rather than silently erased.
Attribution
A short-lived activation reference can connect an explicit Apply action to a later merchant report. It is not a claim that cash was collected.
Financial words have fixed meanings
- Estimated
- A calculated forecast. No merchant payment verified.
- Pending
- Reported, but commission cash not yet received.
- Confirmed
- Cash received, reconciled, and allocated.
- Reversed
- A rejection, refund, chargeback, or adjustment recorded without erasing history.
- Paid
- Included in a completed charity payout with evidence.
